Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has urged his supporters to keep their spirits up.

Kanu made the request at a Thursday meeting with his legal team at the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters in Abuja.

After the normal meeting, his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, revealed this in a tweet.

After several futile efforts, Ejimakor revealed that the DSS had finally granted them access to Kanu.

“Onyendu Nnamdi Kanu and I recently finished a visitation. Because of the past visitations that were canceled, today’s visitation is extremely significant.

”We had very fruitful interactions and mutually debriefed on all issues. He greets his followers and urges all to remain upbeat,” he wrote.

Ejimakor and the other legal team had on several occasions failed to see Kanu in the DSS facility.

Also, Kanu’s family members were said to have been denied access to the IPOB leader.

The DSS had explained that Kanu’s lawyers and family members could not see him because its operatives in charge then were unavailable.
