UNDERSTANDING THE FRUSTRATIONS OF AN OUTGOING SENATOR. Part 1

Sections of the media space in the South East have been awash with stories planted to discredit the person of Chief (Dr.) Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto over His views on fundamental issues which relate to leadership in the region with particular reference to Anambra State.

Unknown to the purveyors of these stories, Chief (Dr.) Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto is a man whose name resonates beyond the shores of Nigeria as a strong character that cannot be tainted by activities of elements who cannot think beyond the dictates of their paymaster.

Besides querying the entrepreneurial capacity, leadership acumen and intellectual prowess of Chief Ibeto which evidently transcends the date of birth of even the rapidly sinking outgoing senator who sits at the helm of what is now a mob of rudderless youth, members of this rag tag mob now clearly assume that since their “capone” have failed in every venture He ever delved into, such back to back incidences of failure is the plight of everyone else.

To put the records straight, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah, the outgoing senator who represents Himself in the 9th senate is a remarkably entitled man; hence thinks that Chief (Dr.) Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto must rally Anambra South to gift Him a return ticket to the 10th senate as compensation for His abysmal performance in the last gubernatorial election.

Simply put, He wants the revered business icon to extinguish the political ambition of everyone else in Anambra South to pave way for His ambition. Unfortunately, this will not happen and the reasons are topic for another day.

Nevertheless, it is imperative to state very clearly that the sponsored campaign of calumny against Chief Ibeto will achieve nothing for the sponsor because never has a man existed who has been found wanting on all spheres of humanity as the outgoing senator.

Chief (Dr.) Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto is not interested in wrestling a pig; but He will not refrain from rising to the occasion to demand an irreducible standard of good conduct and accountability where such is required and it does not matter whose ox is gored.

The bitter senator on the other hand must endeavor to be of good behavior at all times and most importantly understand that infantile emotions cannot replace common sense and logic as the case clearly is with the myriads of grandstanding that presently surrounds the Nnewi Catholic Cathedral project.

The decision of the bitter outgoing senator to singlehandedly build a cathedral for the catholic community in Nnewi is a good one. But Ndi Nnewi must be reminded that before anything else, a cathedral is a HOUSE OF GOD and God evidently rewards those who serve Him in honesty, truth and sincerity.

It therefore begs to wonder why the internal body organs of Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah is eating Him up from the inside over who should build a house for God if indeed His motives stand on the tripod of honesty, truth and sincerity after-all, God sees the heart of all men but the puzzle has been unraveled.

Over the last 10 years, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah has knowingly extinguished thousands of careers in the banking sector for which He has the “prestigious” title of the single biggest DEBTOR in the history of Nigeria; East, Central and West Africa with verifiable evidence from AMCON, the National Bureau of Statistics, the EFCC, the DSS and the Central bank of Nigeria.

Over the same period, He forced 23 Nigerian banks to at various times retrench breadwinners in thousands of homes in Anambra State. He shattered peaceful marriages and families. He has made it impossible for innocent children to access education because their parents lost their jobs. Lives of many aged Igbo men and women have been lost due to His refusal to honor money related agreements.
He viciously destroyed the economic status of hundreds of able bodied young Igbo men; forcing many to resort to indulging in heinous crimes just to make ends meet and today, Anambra State is bedeviled with social ills like yahoo yahoo, money rituals, armed banditry, insurgency and kidnappings.

The universe is fast catching and closing up on the enabler of these vices. This enabler is now afraid of His own shadow and is thus using the Nnewi Catholic Cathedral project which He says He will build over a 40 years period as a tool of personal restitution before God.

Now that it has been established that the offer to build a cathedral is actually a tool of personal restitution before God for crimes committed against humanity, a few questions beg for answers and they include:

1. Why a cathedral that affects an entire community; why not a private chapel?

2. Why seek restitution through the back door and not an open acknowledgement of wrongdoing to the families involved and an open appeal for forgiveness?

3. Why take up a fight with the Roman Catholic Church by unleashing a gang of social media bandits on the person and office of the Bishop for speaking from a place of reality and truth?

4. Why assume the behavior of a religious fundamentalist by fighting for God who sees the heart of all men and is capable of fighting for Himself?

Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah’s mob mentality is antonymous to the mindset of an individual who genuinely desires to honor God and Chief (Dr.) Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto will not offer His attention to someone who before highly placed executive management staff of Access Bank attempted suicide when the bank demanded its outstanding debt from Him and forced His now moribund Capital Oil and Gas Industries Depot into receivership.

If Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah can attempt suicide as means of wriggling out of a perilous economic reality, then He can do anything including forcing the entire catholic flock in Nnewi to serve God under the rain and sun for 40 years.
