Nigerians have voiced their dissatisfaction with the present price of vehicle gas oil, often known as diesel, on social media.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the price of fuel has risen dramatically across the country, with some filling stations now charging N625 per litre.

According to the report, this is a 4% rise over the N540/litre it sold last week, and a 30% gain in just two weeks.

The development comes amid worries that the US and its European allies would impose an embargo on Russian petroleum shipments.

Some Nigerians expressed their displeasure with the decision, citing the suffering that the skyrocketing prices would bring the average Nigerian, while others faulted the government’s incapacity to establish long-term planning.

It would be recalled that on Monday, March 7, global oil prices hit their highest level since 2008 at over $130 a barrel before pulling back to trade around $120 a barrel.
