Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the suspended Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Council, has resigned from the national body.

The chairman of the NURTW’s Lagos branch, Mc Oluomo, was suspended indefinitely by the national leadership of the NURTW on Thursday, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

The NURTW General Secretary, Kabiru Yau, signed a letter of suspension accusing MC Oluomo of insubordination and instigating members of the union against the national leadership.

MC Oluomo and all members of the union declared their departure from the national body in response to the suspension.

Akinsanya, speaking after a meeting at the state secretariat in Agege, stated that all attempts to reach an acceptable agreement with the national body had failed.

To foster peace in the state, Akinsanya and other members from over 200 branches and zones have opted to quit their membership.

Members, he claims, have complained the condition of affairs in the union to the Lagos State Government.
