Martins Honest Garando, a recently married man, was decapitated by suspected cultists in Sagbama town, Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
The 30-year-old was killed in a battle between two cult organizations for power.
Last July, the dead wedded his wife, Belepeigha Gloria Oyins.

His expectant wife gave birth to a baby boy shortly after the wedding.
The suspects broke into the deceased’s residence at 1:30 a.m., dragged him out, removed his head, and carried it with them, according to the Nigerian Tribune.
The perpetrators hung the decapitated head from an electric pole for the community’s eyes to see.
Confirming the incident, Spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Asinim Butswat, said police operatives have already evacuated the corpse to St. Luke Mortuary in Sagbama, while an investigation was ongoing.
