Senator Ademola Adeleke has said that he is the genuine gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Osun guber election will take place on Saturday, July 16.
Remember that Dotun Babayemi was proclaimed the PDP’s governorship candidate by an Osogbo High Court.

The 215 Ward Executive Officers who participated in the parallel gubernatorial primary held at WOCDIF Centre were legitimate and approved Ward Executive Officers entitled to vote as delegates, according to Justice Adeyinka Aderibigbe’s judgment on Friday.
The judgment also barred the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission from accepting any additional PDP gubernatorial primary in Osun State.
Adeleke said his emergence as the party’s flagbearer followed constitutional norms in a statement to reporters on Saturday.
Ademola Adeleke, who described the current legal struggle initiated by Babayemi as “business as usual,” said those who went to the courts to seek legal redress and others who filed petitions against him were simply exercising their rights.

“The leadership resisted a frenzied attempt to disenfranchise us,” he stated. The NWC insisted on following the rules and following precedent. I am a product of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) and Nigeria’s constitution. I am the flagbearer of our great party by law and tradition, and I am ready to lead PDP to victory with God and men.
“The ongoing legal tussle is nothing unusual. Those who headed to court and those who filed appeal petitions are only exercising their rights. In due course, the will of party delegates leading to my candidature will be embraced by all.
“I once again call on my fellow aspirants to let us unite to secure victory for the party. Our team is open to all and we promise we will run an inclusive campaign and government in the best interest of the people of Osun state.”
