Following the current gasoline crisis across the country, Nigerian airline companies are requesting operational permits from the federal government in order to resume importing fuel.
Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Airpeace, has warned that if aviation fuel is not available, the country’s airlines will be forced to shut down.
‘In three days, all Nigerian airlines will cease operations.’ It is a reality that we are not a danger to this country,” Onyema stated.

The head of Airpeace is now presenting at a National Assembly gathering of oil marketers and airline operators.
Mele Kyari, the NNPC CEO, and other stakeholders are also in present during the meeting.
”I have the mandate of all airlines to demand that Airlines begin importation of fuel, if we can buy planes of millions of dollars, we can also import fuel ourselves. Let NNPC give Airlines licenses, we want to import ourselves, Onyema insisted.
