Amid Russia-Ukraine War, Over 10,000 Couples Wed In Ukraine

The continuing conflict between Russia and Ukraine hasn’t stopped tens of thousands of Ukrainians from marrying, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

Over 10,000 couples have married since the Cold War began, according to a statement released by the Ukrainian Ministry of Information on Wednesday morning.

“Life carries on: since the start of the conflict, more than 10.000 couples have married in Ukraine,” the ministry of justice observed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has indicated that his nation would not join NATO, despite Russia’s desire before to its invasion.

According to a translation of Zelensky’s remarks delivered via video connection at a meeting of the leaders of the United Kingdom’s Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) in London on Tuesday morning, March 15, Zelensky declared that they would not be joining NATO.

“We’ve heard the contrary for years, open doors, but it’s not the case,” he remarked, according to the Ukrainian news portal Trukha.

“Our people realize this, and we’re starting to rely on our own resources,” he continued.

According to report, Zelensky’s reaction appears to be in response to NATO’s unwillingness to establish a no-fly zone in his nation.

In a video released a few weeks ago, Zelensky criticized NATO’s decision to refuse the no-fly zone order on the grounds that it would increase combat deaths.

“Knowing that more strikes and losses are unavoidable, NATO purposefully chose not to block the skies above Ukraine,” he claimed.
