On Tuesday, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia stated that if Russia’s conditions, including demilitarization and denazification, are met, a ceasefire in Ukraine will be observed.
Nebenzia’s remarks came as Russian soldiers continue to pound the Ukrainian countryside and push closer to Kyiv, the country’s capital.
“The ceasefire will take place when Russia’s terms, which are well-known, are implemented,” Nebenzia told reporters.

“Demilitarization of Ukraine, denazification of Ukraine, no danger to Russia from that region, that country, no NATO membership… The aim of Ukraine joining NATO is written into the Ukrainian constitution, thus it should be dropped first,” he continued.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday that Ukraine has accepted the fact that it will not join NATO.
Remember that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia began little over a month ago.
Today is the war’s nineteenth day, and it has already claimed a large number of lives.

Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, had authorized the invasion of Ukraine amid political differences.
Putin has also outlined a set of requirements for ending the conflict.
