On May 29, 2022, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will announce their presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the PDP announced the ‘Schedule of Activities and Timetable for the Year 2022/2023 Elections’ on Wednesday.
The timeline was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, who stated that the PDP candidate will be announced on May 29 at the conclusion of the Special National Convention (Presidential Primary) that would begin on May 28.

The party, on the other hand, did not say if it had decided on a consensus candidate or if the ticket had been assigned to a certain geopolitical zone.
It would be remembered that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) set the fee of obtaining form for its presidential aspirants at N40 million on Wednesday.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Expression of Interest form costs N5 million, while the Nomination Form costs N35 million.
It was accepted by the PDP’s 95th National Executive Committee (NEC) on Wednesday in Abuja, according to the party.
Those interested in running for governor can purchase an Expression of Interest form for N1 million and a Nomination Form for N20 million.

The Expression of Interest for the Senate is N500,000, while the Nomination Form is N3 million.
The House of Representatives, Expression of Interest is N500,000 while Nomination Form is N2 million.
