Shuwaram was said to have died of gunshot wounds sustained at the sect’s encampment in the Sabon Tumbun area of Lake Chad.

“Shuwaram was one of the terrorists injured by NAF air interdiction raids near Kirta Wulgo at Sabon Tumbun.

“Subsequent strikes resulted in his death, along with the treatment of other ISWAP fighters, including Abu Ibrahim,” a military officer confirmed.

Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, NAF Director of Public Relations, said air and ground troops have maintained their military attack around Kirta Wulgo.
