Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the apex socio-cultural youth organization of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has urged Sen. Hope Uzodinma and Prof. Charles Soludo to hasten the release of Ipob leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Comrd. Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the National President of the Council and Spokesman of Nigeria’s Indigenous Ethnic Youth Leaders, delivered this appeal today, March 22, 2022, in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

Criminals have hijacked the peaceful activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in collaboration with the Eastern Security Network, ESN (established to safeguard farmers in the farm), and have been rampaging the entire Southeast region since then, according to Igboayaka.

While condemning the criminals’ burning of Prof. George Obiozor’s house, Comrade Igboayaka condemned the conduct as sacrilegious and humiliating to the entire Igbo race in the world.

The OYC President expressed regret that certain anonymous creatures had sworn to smear Kanu’s name, and that they had disguised themselves as IPOB and ESN members in order to prosecute Kanu and thwart his release attempts.

“Amb. George Obiozor symbolizes the new father of Igbo race, burning his house has a deep significance. These gangsters have hit the academic and intellectual treasure of Ndigbo, by raising down Prof George Obiozor library that’s quite very symbolic to Igbo political history”

It’s very painful to all Igbo Youths, we appeal to Prof. George Obiozor not to loose courage in his genuine engagement with Federal government of Nigeria on the release of Nnamdi Kanu, but to see this painful event, hence the awful burning of his library as a last price he paid to redeem Alaigbo, Igboayaka concluded.
