According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Kano State Police Command has captured a young man named Naziru Magaji for allegedly killing a grandma.
Magaji is said to have pushed Habiba Abubakar into a well in their house after beating her to a pulp, but it was unclear if anything had happened between them.
According to a police complaint, the 25-year-old acknowledged to brutally beating the 80-year-old grandmother before putting her body into a well.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the young man’s detention in a statement to the media on Saturday.
The event occurred at 1300 hours on Friday in Wangara Village, Tofa Local Government, Kano State, according to Kiyawa.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the police leapt into action after receiving the report and went to the scene to recover the grandma’s body from the well.
They transported her to Tofa General Hospital, but following a check by a medical specialist, she was pronounced dead.
When questioned, the suspect admitted to committing the crime while under the influence of exol, an intoxicating narcotic.

According to Kiyawa, the matter has been passed to the Homicide Section of the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department, and the suspect will be charged in court once the investigation is completed.
In other developments, Ajang Blessing Ajiji, a 2022 Batch B Youth Corp member assigned to Nassarawa state, has fallen and died.
The unfortunate incident occurred on March 25 at her place of primary assignment, PPA, Government Junior Secondary School, Mangar, Farin Ruwa Development Area, Wamba Council Area.
Reports revealed that the deceased corps member was battling pneumonia before she gave up the ghost. Her body has been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, Mortuary.
