Bola Tinubu, a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has warned the party’s newly elected national working committee that they have a lot of work ahead of them.

In a brief congratulatory letter delivered to the new party executive on Sunday, the former Lagos State Governor urged them to be proud of their new roles.

On Saturday, former Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Adamu was elected as the APC’s new National Chairman.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, he was elected through a consensus agreement after other contenders withdrew from the campaign.

At the party’s national convention, the consensus candidates were ratified by voice vote.

Tinubu, a presidential aspirant for the upcoming general election, who was present at the Eagle Square for the party’s national convention on Saturday, tweeted, “I also congratulate all newly elected members of our new National Working Committee, led by Sen. Abdullahi Adamu.

“Be proud of your appointments but be, also, ready to work, for you have much work to do.”
