Nicki Minaj, a popular musician, has reacted to the Oscars incident involving Will Smith and Chris Rock.
Before winning Best Actor for his portrayal in “King Richard,” Will Smith smacked presenter Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
“Jada, I love you, ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ cannot wait to see that,” Chris Rock said as he presented the award for best documentary.
Will Smith stepped up to the stage and slapped Rock before returning to his seat, warning him not to use his wife’s name.
Nicki Minaj responded on Twitter, saying she doesn’t believe Rock would have made the joke if he known about Jada’s situation.
”I love Chris Rock. I don’t think he would’ve made that joke had he known what Jada recently shared- but between him & the whole team @ the #Oscars you mean to tell me not ONE of y’all heard this woman just share this heartbreaking story?#ComeOnSon
