Aisha Bindawa @ayshabdw, a Twitter user who was aboard the Kaduna-Abuja train yesterday night, has recalled her horror during the terrorist assault.

Terrorists attacked the Nigerian Railway Corporation train from Abuja to Kaduna on Monday evening, killing several of the passengers.

Some of the stranded passengers were also kidnapped by the intruders.

However, other passengers survived, including Bindawa, who stated that the individual seated next to her had been shot.

Bindawa stated she felt her spirit leave her body and was already paralyzed by terror.

“I never thought I’d post again, when the man next me was shot, I was already feeling my spirit leaving my body too, but Allah has a greater plan for us,” she said on Twitter. May all of the departed’s souls rest in peace. May Allah bring the kidnapped children back to their family.”

As the search-and-rescue effort in the vicinity proceeded, Anaedoonline.ng claimed that eight people had been confirmed deceased.

Sources further verified to SaharaReporters that two of the 15 patients admitted to St. Gerald’s Catholic Hospital in Kaduna had died, including Chinelo Megafu, a lady medical doctor at the hospital.

On Monday night, Anaedoonline.ng claimed that Muhammad Amin Mahmood, a candidate for the Northwest Zonal Youth Leadership in the All Progressives Congress (APCjust-concluded )’s National Convention, was shot during the attack.

However, it was unclear at the time of reporting this story how serious his injuries were or whether he would live.

Loretta and Abdul, two cleaners and employees aboard the attacked Abuja-Kaduna train, were confirmed deceased, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

According to people acquainted with the train operation, there were at least 970 passengers on board.
