After the Nigerian team’s loss against Ghana’s Black Stars on Tuesday evening, several enraged Super Eagles fans stormed the Moshood Abiola National Stadium’s football pitch.

After a 1-1 draw with Ghana in the second leg in Abuja, the Super Eagles were unable to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Fans of the Nigerian football team have taken to the pitch to vent their displeasure with the match’s conclusion, as well as vandalizing certain stadium amenities.

After the match on Tuesday, Anaedoonline.ng received video of the event. The coaches’ box was reportedly pushed off by enraged spectators and subsequently destroyed.

Meanwhile, security agencies have reportedly fired tear gas canisters at the rampaging crowd to control the situation.

Nigerians on social media have condemned the development noting that the country does not have to suffer extra losses.
