Terrorists Wearing Hijab, Gowns Attack Police Checkpoint In Katsina

Terrorists assassinated a police officer in Katsina State’s Batsari Local Government Area.

On Monday evening, the event happened.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s native state of Katsina is one of the most plagued by banditry in Nigeria.

According to a local source, the terrorists donned veils (hijab) to conceal themselves, while their men wore flowing dresses known as ‘babanriga.’

Superintendent Gambo Isah, a spokesman for the state police command, said several officers were on a stop-and-search operation along the Jibiya-Batsari Road when the terrorists started the attack that killed the policeman.

According to AIT Live, the officer died on the spot.

According to Isah, when the terrorists arrived in their numbers on motorcycles, they started shooting sporadically and after killing the policeman, they made away with his rifle.

He said the Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dabban, has ordered the immediate deployment of reinforcements to the area, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, to get the terrorists arrested.
