2023: Peter Obi Talks About Becoming PDP Consensus Candidate

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has prophesied that in the next 2023 general elections, he will emerge as a consensus candidate for the whole country.

On Saturday, the presidential hopeful told media at his Onitsha GRA mansion that he had substantial backing from all major parties in the country.

He stated that he would guarantee adequate consultations and that the person most suited to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari will be chosen in the end.

“They didn’t indicate it was from a certain sector; it might be consensus for Nigeria, and we’ll be debating everything as we move around.”

“You never know I might be the consensus candidate. I agree we shall be talking to each other and in the end, we shall find out who is the best for the job,” he said.

Obi urged Nigerians to investigate and interrogate aspirants to uncover their previous achievements and failures, stressing that his antecedents will speak favourably for him.
