On Sunday in Las Vegas, artists were once again recognized for their work and contributions to the business.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, leading music artists, producers, marketers, and big wigs in the entertainment business from all over the world attended the 64th annual Grammy Awards event held yesterday.

Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, a prominent Nigerian artist, lost a Grammy Award to Angelique Kidjo in the Best World Music Album category this year.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Beninese artist received the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album for ‘Mother Nature’ on Sunday night.

Kidjo hailed Nigerian singers Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, and Mr Eazi for their contributions to the record when accepting the prize on Sunday.

Kel P of (Burna Boy), James Poyser of The Roots, Vtek, Rexxie, Synematik, Blue Lab Beats, -M-, Brad Thomas Ackley, David Donatien, and Dany Synthé collaborated on Angélique’s sixth Grammy award-winning album “Mother Nature.”

Femi Kuti and Mide Kuti were both nominated in this category, however they were unable to win the prize.

Jazzman and bandleader Jon Batiste led the night with five awards including Album of the Year.

Retro act Silk Sonic — the group project of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak — won four awards including Record and Song of the Year.

Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo was named Best New Artist.
