2023 Presidency: Peter Obi, Tambuwal, To Meet PDP Lawmakers

This evening, two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidates will meet with members of the party at the National Assembly.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, informed the Minority Leader, Hon Ndudi Elumelu, in a letter.

During Tuesday’s plenary session, the speaker announced that Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi will meet with PDP legislators at Wuse 2 in Abuja by 9 p.m.

Gbajabiamila criticized the PDP after receiving the letter by asking Elumelu whether Tambuwal and Obi are teaming up to run for president.

Elumelu responded to the speaker by saying that the two lawmakers are not teaming together to run for president.

Meanwhile, former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani on Tuesday confirmed reports of a fresh terrorist attack on a military base in Kaduna State.

The lawmaker in a short statement via his Twitter account sent his condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives during the attack.

He commended them for putting up a good resistance before eventually getting overwhelmed by their attackers.
