Tinubu Donates 50M To Kaduna Govt Describes Train Attack As National Disaster

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a presidential candidate, has expressed his condolences to the Kaduna state administration following the recent train assault by terrorists known locally as bandits.

Last Monday evening, bandit terrorists ambushed a Kaduna-bound train with explosives and gunshots, killing eight passengers, wounding many more, and kidnapping others, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

Senator Kashim Shettima, the former Governor of Borno State, joined the APC Leader to Kaduna to meet with Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

At Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the Kaduna State seat of power, he was greeted by the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and Senators Uba Sani and Suleiman Abdu-Kwri.

Tinubu’s company also included Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Senator Abu Ibrahim.

Mr Tinubu, who termed the train incident as a “national calamity,” donated N50 million to the victims.

According to him, the ongoing assaults in Kaduna should be a source of concern for everyone because they have taken hundreds of lives and property in recent years.

He went on to say that bandit killings are no longer acceptable and must be stopped.

Tinubu also urged the governor of the state not to be disheartened by the terrible events and to continue to provide excellent administration.

He also appealed to well-to-do Nigerians to support the Kaduna state government in addressing the humanitarian crises created by bandits attacks.
