Dr. Megafu Nwando Chinelo’s body has arrived in Lagos, one of the casualties onboard the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train attack by bandit terrorists last week Monday night, which elicited passionate and outraged responses on social media.
When the train was attacked, the late doctor was believed to have tweeted about her safety, but several social media users labeled her message as fake news.
Chinelo, a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, reportedly resigned from her position at St Gerald’s Hospital in Kaduna on Friday, citing plans to migrate overseas.
Chinelo’s last tweet on the microblogging site said, “I’m on board the train. I have been shot, please pray for me.”
However, the female medical doctor was said to have later died from the gunshot wounds sustained during the attack.
A family member, who shared the photos below said, “Final journey to Lagos for our daughter, Dr. Chinelo Megafu aboard Arik Air. 07 /04/22.”
