In Aba, a commercial hub in Abia State, unknown gunmen have allegedly ambushed an Army patrol vehicle.
According to reports, the event, which occurred early Friday morning while the soldiers were on patrol, sparked animosity in the region.

The gunmen ambushed the troops at the prominent Tonimas crossroads, Osisioma LGA axis, on the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway, according to reports.
As of press time, details of the incident were vague, however it was learned that the assailants set fire to the troops’ patrol van.
