See What Abubakar Malami Said About Resigning As AGF

Abubakar Malami, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, responded on Thursday to reports that he was about to quit.

In a statement made on Thursday, Malami informed Nigerians that he had no intention of resigning as AGF.

According to rumors, Malami intends to run for governor of Kebbi State in the next election.

The Minister dismissed the rumor, saying that he is focused on performing his duties.

Malami expressed his gratitude for people’s support for him in a statement made through his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Umar Jibrilu Gwandu.

The statement reads partly, “Malami remains committed to discharging statutory obligations and constitutionally delineated responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of extant laws.

“Malami thanked Nigerians for the demonstration of love and unparalleled interest shown in him.”
