Former President Goodluck Jonathan paid a visit to his security assistant, Inspector Gambo Joseph, who was injured in a traffic accident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja on Wednesday.

Jonathan expressed his delight that the cop who had been hurt was responding well to treatment and recovering quickly.

Inspector Michael Ebute, the second officer injured in the vehicle accident, was discharged on Friday, according to the former president.

“Thank God Gambo is getting better so quickly. Jonathan replied, “I’m happy to inform you that the second officer, Michael, has been discharged and returned to his family.”

Jonathan almost avoided death when returning from Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Two of his attendants, however, did not survive the disaster.
