Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has revealed the aim of his meeting with Governors elected on the party’s platform.
Anaedoonline.ng previously reported that the presidential candidate met with 12 APC governors in Abuja, the nation’s capital, on Monday.
The meeting, which took place in the Kebbi Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, happened only hours after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo announced his bid for the presidency in 2023.

Tinubu told reporters immediately after the meeting said he met with the governors to seek their support and encouragement in his bid for the presidency in 2023.
In the run-up to the 2023 presidential election, the former Lagos governor also committed to work with governors.
The presidential hopeful added that discussions during the meeting focused on his ambition to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
He said: “My mission is to seek the collaboration, encouragement and support of my party, the APC, for my ambition and mission to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
The governors who met with Tinubu are Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state; Simon Lalong of Plateau; Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano; Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi.
