Timipre Sylva, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, has issued a warning to anyone planning to wage war in Nigeria.

He asked everyone to provide their support to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration’s success.

In his Easter sermon on Saturday in Abuja, the former Bayelsa governor made the request.

Sylva acknowledged the country’s issues, but said that violence and hate speech would not address them.

He warned that assigning blame may exacerbate the situation, which he described as requiring “community assistance and prayers.”

The minister stated that the Buhari government was doing all possible to address security and economic concerns.

“Those who are banging the drums of war should stop,” he added, adding that “we have no other nation but Nigeria.”

“We thank Nigerians for their patience and understanding during the last fuel scarcity.”

Sylva added that measures are being put in place to ensure petroleum products are available at all times.
