Chairman of Innoson Group of Companies, Chief Dr. Sir. Innocent Chukwuma (Innoson), has said that the sustained patronage of Innoson vehicles by Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma has inspired him to set up a vehicle Manufacturing plant in Owerri.
Chief Innocent Chukwuma made this revelation in his interview with Arise TV, during the weekend, according to him, apart of Anambra State, Imo State government has been consistent in the patronage of Innoson Vehicle, hence the need to reward the state by building a vehicle manufacturing plant in the state.
According to Dr. Innocent who is behind Africa’s first automobile brand, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, he believes that the factory when completed will provide a lot of jobs for Imo youths and in extension boost the economy of the area.
The Innoson factory expansion will be situated at Naze Owerri in Imo State in about 150,000sqm land.
Since its inauguration, Governor Hope Uzodinma has purchased hundreds of IVM products including the well-equipped and highly acclaimed IVM G12 special purpose vehicle already popular with the military; as well as the IVM {troops} Carrier used by many security outfits across the country.
