According to Baba, Peter was detained at their apartment in Lugbe, Abuja, about 5 p.m. on April 10 by the FCT Command, in whose jurisdiction the event happened.

The suspect is now being held by the Command while the inquiry continues.

The command has sought the National Hospital in Abuja for post-mortem exams, according to the IGP, because of the sensitive nature of the case and the need for justice.

Baba stated that this would determine the cause of death, and Peter would be prosecuted in court if it was determined that he was to blame for her death.
