Mohammed Reejal, a prominent commander of the Boko Haram terrorist organisation, was slain by the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP).
The high-ranking Boko Haram member was was down by ISWAP members on Sunday, according to Counter-Insurgency specialist Zagazola Makama.
Reejal was claimed to have been slain by ISWAP terrorists in an ambush at the Tokombare section of the Sambisa forest in Borno State.

The assassinated insurgent was a member of the Boko Haram terrorist group, which was assaulted during a purported mission to raid towns in the state and take food.
Meanwhile, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) forces in Lake Chad have killed 25 Boko Haram and ISWAP militants.
It was gathered that the terrorists were killed when the task force repelled an attack on the Fuel Depot in Soudeye community, located nearby to Borgogorou in Niger Republic on Saturday.
The Task Force was said to have pushed back the terrorists before a combined MNJTF Air Task Force comprising Nigeria and Niger carried out multiple airstrikes, which led to the destruction of three gun trucks and all their occupants.

The MNJTF Air Task Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft trailed the fleeing remnants of the insurgents and destroyed two additional gun trucks killing their occupants.
