Shehu Sani, a former legislator from Kaduna Central senatorial district, alleged on Saturday that President Muhammadu Buhari would have objected if previous President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration had racked up debts like the current administration.
In an ongoing Twitter Spaces discussion with Daily Trust, the gubernatorial hopeful from the Peoples Democratic Party revealed.
Sani bemoaned the fact that Nigeria has never borrowed as much as it has under Buhari’s leadership.

Despite the country’s massive debt, the present government, according to the former congressman, continues to borrow from everyone.
Sani in his statement said, “Never at a time as a country has Nigeria been in so much debt. We keep borrowing from everywhere.”
According to Sani, whatever President Buhari has done would be of no importance to Nigerians if they don’t feel secure.
The governorship aspirant wondered why Buhari is keeping incompetent persons in office and had not reshuffled his cabinet.
