Governor Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State and a presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in 2023, has stated that he has never had any problems with his school certificate.
Governor Wike also stated that he attended the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, as well as the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, and that he can recall his seat-mate at both institutions.
Wike is claimed to have attended Government Secondary School Eneka in Obiakpor, Rivers State, and then went on to study political science at the University of Port Harcourt before studying law at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST).

He graduated from RSUST with a Bachelor of Laws degree before enrolling in law school in 1997. Wike graduated from RSUST with a Master of Arts in Political and Administrative Studies.
“As I talk to you now, I can tell you who was my seat-mate from year one, year two, year three, year four in the University of Port Harcourt and who was my seat-mate in the Rivers State University,” the former Minister said on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.
“I’ve never had any controversy concerning my certificate. The schools I attended, nobody can say, ‘let’s go and ask’.
“And as I came for my youth service, I served in the former Gongola State …So I can tell you who my colleagues were as corpers,” he added.
