Deborah: See What Tambuwal Said About Killing Of Female Student

Deborah Samuel, a student at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, was killed for supposed blasphemy, according to Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the governor’s spokesman, Muhammad Bello, stated this in a statement on Thursday.

During a meeting with Christian leaders and officials of security agencies in the state, Tambuwal called the horrible murder of the female student as barbaric, according to Bello.

Tambuwal had cut his political activities to return to the state to meet with stakeholders following the tragic tragedy, according to the governor’s spokesperson.

The head of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nuhu Iliya, and other officials of the association were present at the meeting, which was held at Government House.

He said: “Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state cut short his engagements in Abuja, the nation’s capital following the killing of Miss Deborah Samuel, a student of the College of Education, Sokoto; and returned to Sokoto where he held a closed-door meeting with heads of security agencies in the state as well as the state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Fr. Nuhu Iliya at the Government House.”

Governor Tambuwal, according to Bello, has ordered an investigation by the state’s Ministry of Higher Education and related security agencies.

Recall that on Thursday, several college students lynched Deborah Samuel for making a blasphemy accusation against Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The dead was stoned to death and then set ablaze by an irate crowd of students from the college.

The college administrators declared the school’s closure immediately and ordered students to leave the premises.

Two of the suspects were arrested hours later, according to state police.
