The Indigenous People of Biafra claims it is prepared to assist in the search for Kenneth Odoputa, the father of abducted Nigerian Nollywood star Uche Odoputa.
Uche had pleaded for aid in rescuing his father from the kidnappers in an Instagram post on Monday.
The Nollywood actor, who also uploaded a photo of his father, asked for prayers for his father’s safety and release from his colleagues and fans.
“Friends please join me in praying for my father’s safe return from the hands of kidnappers that took him over two weeks now. Mr. Kenneth Odoputa,” Uche’s post read.

IPOB, through its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, responded by saying the organization was willing to help with rescue operations to reunite Uche with his father.
In a text message to Newsmen, Powerful advised Uche to call the organization and provide specifics about the kidnapping incident’s location, date, and other pertinent information in order to expedite the rescue effort.
He said, “Please find out who this is and tell him to provide evidence of the incident, picture of his father, the village where this happened and the date. If you know him, let him know about this, please. We are willing to step in.”
