Davido, a popular Nigerian artist, has responded to reports that his comrade Banky W lost the primaries just days after the PDP announced him the winner of the Eti-Osa House of Representatives.
Banky W announced on Tuesday that he has been elected to the House of Representatives by the Peoples Democratic Party to represent the Eti-Osa seat.
On Thursday, however, a result was discovered online indicating that Banky W had lost the primary.
‘I trust my followers,’ Davido stated in response to a video of the votes being tabulated.

However, Kennedy Salami, a close associate of the famed Nigerian musician, stated in an interview with Daily Trust that the problem is being resolved.
Salami said, “Please this result is false. We have spoken to almost all the leaders in the PDP. They are all working on it and have asked Banky to remain calm and allow them to sort it out. It appears that Sam allegedly was able to manoeuvre to get a result sheet in his favour, for an election that BANKY WELLINGTON WON.”
