Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has revealed why he paid a visit to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike following the party’s primary poll.

On Monday, Atiku paid a vital visit to Wike in Abuja for a key fence-mending meeting.

The former Vice President, on the other hand, stated that his visit to Wike was to guarantee that all stakeholders were brought on board to help the party win the presidential election in 2023.

He wrote: “In continuation of my commitment to bring everyone on board in ensuring that the PDP stands as one united party, earlier today, I visited His Excellency Gov Nyseom (sic) Wike at his Abuja residence. This is a continuous process.”

On Saturday, Atiku beat Wike and other PDP presidential candidates in the party’s primary poll.

After the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, stood down for him, the Waziri of Adamawa received 371 votes, while Wike received 237 votes.
