Dele Momodu, a Nigerian journalist and presidential contender, believes Peter Obi’s Labour Party will be unable to win the 2023 presidential election.

Dele Momodu revealed this earlier today on TVC’s “Your View,” claiming that he and Peter Obi were the finest candidates in the main opposition party, the PDP, but that he had absconded.

Dele Momodu claimed it’s difficult for Peter Obi to receive the kind of votes Trump got in the US that no one expected or a huge number of young people to vote for him in the general election.

2023: What Dele Momodu Said On Joining Presidential Race

Dele Momodu explained his motivation by stating that he began his political career in the Labour Party and that the first challenge Peter Obi would confront is funding the party since it is financially unstable and Nigerians do not contribute.

Peter Obi, according to Dele Momodu, cannot win the presidential election as a member of a fringe local party like Labour.

He questioned Obi’s ability to confront Atiku and Tinubu with his hard-earned money.

In his word: “For me, the two of the best that was in PDP were myself and Peter Obi and he had absconded. I was in labour, I started my journey from labour, the first thing Obi will face in Labour is to fund the party because the party does not have money and Nigerians don’t make contributions.

“After I lost the first ten million, I started shaking because they said they were setting up a structure. You cannot win a presidential election from a fringed local party like Labour, Peter Obi has money unlike me but can he spend his hard earned money on fighting Atiku and Tinubu if he emerges the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Party, he can’t”
