Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, has detailed how he picked Professor Yemi Osinbajo to be President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate in 2015.
Tinubu told members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, on Thursday that Buhari asked him before the election to be his running mate because he had failed with every other person he had chosen as a running mate in previous tries.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki derailed the idea by running on the Muslim-Muslim ticket, according to the presidential candidate.
He said that he nominated Osinbajo for the position that was initially assigned to him.
“I gave Osinbajo my right to be Vice President. You’re hearing this from me for the first time. That’s the truth,” Tinubu said.
