Nigerians have responded to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, withdrawing his earlier comments.
Remember that Tinubu claimed to APC delegates in Ogun that President Muhammadu Buhari would not have been president without his assistance.
He also claimed to be behind the election of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Governor of Ogun State Dapo Abiodun.
Tinubu Blames Buhari’s Conditions For Consensus Candidate For Viral Outburst
Tinubu’s Campaign Director, Media & Communications, Bayo Onanuga, responded to the uproar by calling interpretations of the viral video “erroneous, deceptive, and malicious.”
According to him, the new requirements established by President Muhammadu Buhari for the consideration of an APC presidential candidate made it imperative for Tinubu to work hard to persuade the delegates that he is the right person for the job.
Some Nigerians, however, have resorted to social media to share their differing views on Tinubu’s repudiation of his previous comments.
