At a time when major political parties are planning its campaign ahead of the 2023 general election, an implosion is imminent in the Young Progressives Party (YPP).

This is coming against the background of an EXCLUSIVE report made available to Anaedoonline which confirms that major Nnewi Stakeholder, Chief Sir James Louis Okoye; KSJI (Ebube Anaedo) has resigned His membership of the party.

Anaedoonline gathered that the Uruagu Nnewi born financier and mobilizer, popularly called JALOU had been a foundation member of the party and had at various times before His forced exit from the YPP had funded several grassroots mobilization activities of the party in Anambra State.

Alongside His exit from the YPP, JALOU also resigned His executive chairmanship of the Afa Igbo Efuna movement in Nnewi North local government.

Sources in the now rested Afa Igbo Efuna movement in Nnewi North local government disclosed to reporters of Anaedoonline that JALOU has been forced to overtime tolerate the refusal of Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to hands off personal running of the party and Afa Igbo Efuna by letting elected exco members operate.

However, the antics of the Senator which led to the emergence of Sir Augustine Ike (Ike Edorji) to fly the party flag for the House of Assembly elections, Nnewi North was perceived by members as a clear indication that internal democracy is alien to the YPP.

Whereas Anaedoonline had earlier reported the emergence of Sir Augustine Ike (Ike Edorji) as flag bearer of the YPP for the state house of Assembly elections for Nnewi North, it has become clear that indeed no primary election was conducted as prescribed by law as Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah muzzled interested aspirants including Sir Nnamdi Udeaja out of the race, nominated Augustine Ike (Ike Edorji) as flag bearer without conducting primary elections and communicated same to the Independent National Electoral Commission using His privilege as national leader of the YPP, a position which Anaedoonline discovered doesn’t exist in the constitution of the party.

Sources in Afa Igbo Efuna also revealed that Ike Edorji was imposed on the party knowing fully well that He stood no winning chance of a primary election when conducted; stressing that notice of primary elections were personally announced by Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah in a manner that ensured that no aspirant will challenge the imposition of Ike Edorji.

The resignation of Chief Sir James Louis Okoye; KSJI (Ebube Anaedo) is with immediate effect and many have confirmed that it is the strongest indication that the YPP is imploding despite desperate attempts to make the party appear as though it is firmly on ground.

There are strong indications that the dumping of the YPP by Chief Sir James Louis Okoye; KSJI (Ebube Anaedo) may open a gale of defections and legal tussle in the party in the coming months as interests are determined to ensure that the illegality and controversies surrounding the emergence of Ike Edorji is contested in court.
