Bankole Wellington, commonly known as Banky W, has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, defeating his opponent, Sam Aiboni.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Banky W won with 24 votes against Sam Aiboni, who received only five votes.
After the first primary was canceled last month, the PDP rescheduled the election for today.
Since joining the main opposition party early this year, Banky W had been considered a favorite to win the ticket.

After a conflict between Wellington and Aiboni forced the party’s leadership to intervene from Abuja, the primary was postponed.
Following that, it was agreed that a repeat would be held.
Wellington defeated Aiboni, a Lagos-based candidate, by 27 votes to two.
