Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has responded to the win of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu, in the governing party’s just ended presidential primary.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Tinubu won the APC presidential ticket by a significant margin on Wednesday, defeating Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who finished in third, and former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, who came in second.

Atiku has previously attacked the governing party on his official Twitter account for allegedly failing to keep pledges made to Nigerians during the 2015 elections.

The PDP presidential candidate went on to say that the ruling party cannot ignore its record for the mandate given to it by Nigerians.

He, however, said that the 2023 general elections will be a referendum on the failed policies of the administration.

He wrote: “The APC can gloss over everything, but not its scorecard for the mandate Nigerians gave to the party. The 2023 elections will be a referendum on the failed policies of the administration.”

However, after the declaration of Tinubu as the flag-bearer of the APC in the 2023 general elections, Atiku returned to his Twitter page to congratulate the former Governor of Lagos State.

The PDP presidential candidate said Tinubu’s victory in the primary election confirmed his tenacity.
