Owo Catholic Church Massacre: Suspects Allegedly Arrested In Ondo (Video)

Suspected assailants of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, have been apprehended, according to reports.

A viral video depicts a throng demonstrating inside the palace of Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, the Olowo of Owo.

One of them could be heard saying: “They want to take them (suspects) to Akure. The youths are angry.”

Last Sunday, gunmen stormed the church in Ondo, killing numerous attendees, including women and children.

The dead toll has risen to 40, with others injured still undergoing care at the hospital.

Some of the perpetrators pretended to be worshippers and fired bullets from AK-47 rifles, according to the police.

Three unexploded Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered, according to the security service.
