The identities and images of some of the victims who were in church when gunmen opened fire at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, have been released.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, unknown gunmen stormed the catholic church, tossing bombs and shooting numerous people to death, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
In a video published on social media, it was revealed that no fewer than 30 worshipers were killed by the explosives, who were either shot or killed by the explosives.

Caroline Agboola
Caroline Agboola was one of those who perished as a result of the incident.
Prior to her death, her daughter revealed that she was an akara vendor.
Her spouse had died several years before.
Veginus Nwani
During the event, Mr. Veginus Ani and his daughter Chidiogo perished.
His first son was present, but unhurt, in the church.
Mr. Veginus’s son took his younger sister, who was still alive at the time of the shooting, to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Chidiogo Nwani
Chidiogo Nwani died alongside with her father, Veginus Nwanie. She was eleven years old.
Umunna
During the Sunday shooting, Umunna and his kid were killed by bullets.
The father and his son were covered in blood after the gunshot.
He was attempting to shelter his son from the gunmen, according to BBC Pidgin, but they shot both of them.
In Owo, Umunna was claimed to possess an electrical store.
Ozurumba Bridget
Bridget Ozurumba, Mama Ozurumba, was also killed in the incident.
Her kid is presently fighting for his life in the ICU following an attack.

When the attack occurred, her son was inside the church with his mother, who died as a result of the attack.
Madam Onuoha
Papa Onuoha
Mr. Onuoha and his wife were killed by gunshot wounds during the incident.
When the shooting began, they were in the church with their kid, who was unharmed.
Before his sad death, Mr. Onuoha worked as a gardener, while his wife worked as a small merchant.
The Federal Government has previously connected fighters from the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) to the attack, according to a report released on Thursday.
Rauf Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior, confirmed this to State House media during a meeting of the National Security Council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
