Owen Gee, a stand-up comedian, has revealed that he was offered money to imitate the voice and political ambitions of a prospective presidential contender in 2023.

The ace comedian made the disclosure on Sunday, June 12 during a Political Twitter space organized by Chika, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

Owen Gee, when asked why most celebrities remain on the sidelines, replied that celebrities are stepping cautiously so as not to fall into the Department of State Services’ trap (DSS).

He also said that he was recently given a large sum of money to mimic the voice of a new presidential contender in 2023 with his jokes, but he declined due to the ideals he holds dear.

He said, unlike the average Nigerian, celebrities do not have the leverage to say and do certain things on social media.

Meanwhile, Peter Okoye better known as Mr P has declared former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi the most qualified presidential candidate.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that the singer and father of two took to his Instagram page on Saturday to make that assertion.

According to Peter, only one candidate amongst all other aspirants who have made known their intentions to run for the presidential seat in 2023 is overqualified.

He wrote; ‘So far, Only one candidate is overqualified to be Nigeria, Next President’.
