In Anambra State, a young leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, was assassinated.

Emeka Alaehobi, the dead, had been missing since last Thursday, only for his lifeless body to be discovered today somewhere in the Utu town.

According to reports, Alaehobi was abducted by criminals ravaging the state. Anaedoonline.ng learned from his kidnappers that they never reached out to his family for a ransom since he was taken, only to find him dead.

The late APGA youth leader was reportedly taken from his residence in Ukpor, Nnewi South local government area.

Tochukwu Ikenga, the state command’s police public relations officer, confirmed the occurrence, saying that a body was discovered in the area on Saturday.

He said: “When our operatives got to the scene, the corpse had been removed by some persons we are yet to identify. We have also ascertained that the corpse is that of the APGA youth leader.”

Anaedoonline.ng understands there has been a series of criminal activities in Anambra State over the months. Ukpor particularly which is the headquarters of the Nnewi South local government area has been marked as one of the most troubled areas since violent crimes became rampant in the state.
