Reno Omokri, a former presidential adviser, has revealed to his detractors why he backed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi for the presidency in 2023.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Omokri is from Warri in Delta State, and many of his supporters have asked why he has refused to rally support for Obi, who is also from the southern part of the country.
Though Omokri had previously lauded Obi for his wisdom in managing public service, he has now directed even more emphasis into the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate for 2023, Atiku Abubakar.
2023: Peter Obi Congratulates Atiku As He Becomes PDP Presidential Candidate
Peter Obi is competent, but not good enough to be President of Nigeria, according to Omokri, who posted to his verified Twitter account.
He stressed that he will choose Atiku two times over Obi.
Omokri’s tweet reads: “Peter is competent enough to be President. My only issue with Peter Obi is that I prefer Atiku to him.
“If this election was like a JAMB form, where you pick your first, second and third choices. Atiku would be my first and second choices. Peter would be my third!”.
Meanwhile, Dino Melaye, a former congressman representing Kogi West senatorial district, has declared that the APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is a baby compared to the PDP’s nominee, Atiku Abubakar.

Tinubu, he said, is inferior to the former Vice President in every way, including politically, physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually.
According to Anaedoonline.ng , Melaye mentioned this during an interview on Channels TV on Monday.
According to the former congressman, Tinubu and Atiku cannot be compared in terms of political experience.
To control Nigeria, he continued, you must be psychologically and physically healthy.
