The people of the Southwest, according to Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ondo State, would not tolerate any unprovoked attack on the region under whatever pretext.

While describing the Owo tragedy as “one too many,” Akeredolu emphasized that the people of the Southwest have always strived to ensure the country’s peace and unity.

The governor made the remarks while greeting his brother governors from Ogun, Dapo Abiodun; Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and Kwara, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, at Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.

According to Akeredolu, the governors’ visit was not just symbolic but also crucial, and he expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their support since the event.

On behalf of the Governors of Lagos and Kwara States, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, remarked earlier that the attack was not just on the good people of Owo and Ondo States, but on the whole people of the South-West area.

The governors will continue to reinforce and improve the security architecture of the zone.
