President Muhammadu Buhari has been under fire for his most recent remarks on the agitator from Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
In his most recent remarks, Buhari was accused by Ejimakor of lying about Kanu and IPOB.
He said Buhari had deceived the public by falsely claiming that Kanu had skipped bail and that IPOB members had damaged oil pipelines.

The attorney emphasized in a tweet that IPOB will not be designated as a terrorist group, contrary to Buhari’s demand.
He wrote: “RIGHT OF REPLY: In the past few days, the President has made IPOB & Nnamdi Kanu his main business, saying that:
“#IPOB blows up pipelines: Not true!
“#MNK jumped bail: Not true! Umuahia court settled it.
“The world should declare IPOB a terror group: It won’t happen! It’s not!”
The President has previously blamed IPOB members for the nation’s oil pipelines being vandalized.

In an interview with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Buhari said Kanu had already escaped bail and may do so again.
He asserted that the IPOB leader must stand by all of his criticism of the Nigerian government.
